Boats and the Sea are in my Blood
I was born and raised in Coastal North Carolina and have been around boats my entire life. As a young boy, I helped my grandfather build a wooden Carolina style "Mullet Boat" which I still own.
Later, to pay for College (UNCW), I started working part-time at Hall's Boat Repair in Wilmington, North Carolina. After graduating from college, I worked full-time repairing and restoring vessels from 10 to 80 feet.
I no longer work on boats since that would create a conflict of interest to my Marine Surveying business, but through my continuing education, I keep up to date on new technology and methods.
I strictly follow The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® Code of Ethics, and The National Association of Marine Surveyors, Inc. Code of Ethics.
I am an avid fisherman and if I am not surveying a boat, I am on or near the water.
